Juneau Alaska Travel

Shopping in Juneau, Alaska may not sound like the most exciting activity in the world, but there are some jewelry and souvenir shops worth visiting. From satisfying the need for fresh air and water in summer to the enchanting Northern Lights in winter and Alaska's rich history and culture, it is one of the most interesting places in the world. If your time in Alaska is limited, then North and Southeast Asia serves as a great introduction to almost everything Alaska has to offer, with little-touched wilderness around the isolated border communities that serve as cities within Alaska. Perhaps the best aspect of Juneau is that it serves not only as an economic hub for the city of Anchorage, but also as a tourist destination in its own right.

On the water, the Alaska Marine Highway System helps connect several coastal communities in Alaska, including Juneau, with ferries. Alaska Airlines also flies regularly to Ketchikan, Sitka, Wrangell and Petersburg, and to Gustavus in the summer. It is also home to a number of cruise lines operating the Inside Passage and can be reached by boat from Anchorage, Anchorage International Airport or Anchorage Airport. However, it is also served several times a day by Alaska Airlines and offers regular flights from the city of Anchorage to the Anchorage and Anchorage airports, as well as regular flights in the summer.

Although there are no roads connecting Juneau to the rest of Alaska, it is possible to fly from Juneau Airport. Another option is to take a ferry to Anchorage, which is actually a pretty cool way to see the city of Anchorage and the Alaska Marine Highway System and the Inside Passage. There is also a bus service from Anchorage International Airport that takes you to downtown in 1 minute and takes you on a full city tour for $100. It is also possible that you will take the ferry north to south central Alaska and return to Seattle or Canada when you return to Juneaux.

During high season, you will also find that downtown is the best place to organize a Juneau Alaska tour, including Glacier Gardens and Rainforest Adventure. With an average of 5-8 days, Alaska shore tours are designed to enjoy the best national parks in Alaska in an ideal month. If it is a clear day, your seaplane must take off from the airport directly from where the cruise ship docks. Start from the water and fly over the high mountains of Juneaux And if you fly over a high mountain, leave the seaplanes just behind you.

If you have a little more time in Juneau and want to see the famous Mendenhall Glacier but still want to get into the adventure during the day, there is a whitewater rafting trip in Juneaux. Exploring Juneau on your own is perfectly possible, but if your time is limited, it's a good idea to book a few tours as well. Small boat cruises that sail through Alaska in July, a busy time, will still allow you to enjoy many of the same attractions as if you were not on a cruise, and the weather will not affect your ability to reach major Alaska cities like Sitka. If you have time and make the most of your visit, we recommend a minimum of 3 days in Juneaux, 5-7 days are even better. Alakan cruise ship stops to visit and access The main Alaskan cities of Sitka will not be affected by the weather, so don't drive.

If you want to escape the crush of cruise ships, we recommend visiting Juneau Trails and Parks or staying in the visitor center. If you're serious about history, visit the Alaska State Museum, located in the town of Sitka on the south side of the river, just a few blocks away.

If grizzly and brown bear watching on Denali is on your Alaska bucket list, then a visit to Alaska in June should be a top candidate. If you have never been to any of these glaciers or have been to Juneau, these glaciers are worth a visit. The closer you get to more glaciers, the better the chances are to reach a few more. On this Juneai cruise you will not only have the opportunity to see the whales, but also the best views of the glaciers and the city itself.

If you're visiting Juneau soon, I bet you'll be on this cruise, but if you're not on the cruise, you can still fly to Alaska. Alaska Airlines has about $300- $400 for a round-trip ticket from Anchorage to Anchorage and then another $200- $300 to get to Juneai.
